I Speak What I “AM”

This past Saturday, I was a guest on a call with Stacey Cox of Beautiful Gate Ministry for her “Release the Word” segment in which I spoke on the topic of self-esteem building for parents and their children. One of the keys I mentioned to having a high self regard is to speak daily affirmations or positive statements about yourself, your life and your situation. But, in order for this to work, as I mentioned, you must star off by saying “I Am”. When you begin this way, you are declaring who and what you are. Even if it’s not true as of yet, you are positioning yourself for it to become a reality.

Here are a few affirmations I speak over my life:

I “AM” a sought-after international speaker.

I “AM” a best-selling author.

I “AM” a parent motivator.

I “AM” a phenomenal mommy.

I “AM” a powerhouse.

I “AM” blessed and highly favored.

I “AM” loved.

I “AM” prosperous.

I “AM” a champion builder.

I “AM” the voice of the SOLO MOMMY.

I encourage you to spend some time today creating AT LEAST 10 affirmations to speak over your life, then get busy saying them – aloud. Write them down on index cards and post them in areas where you can readily see them such as on the top of your bathroom mirror or refrigerator. Keep them handy in your purse or wallet as well.

Today, I speak life over who I “AM” and I am counting on you doing the same thing. And always remember, when you step into your power, you become a powerhouse.

Here’s to the great I “AM”!

Powerhouse Media Group Wants to Encourage You to "Be There" for Your Children

Gabrielle Douglas's mom showed the world recently just what being engaged in her daughter's life could mean. Thanks to Ms. Hawkins' dedication and parental involvement from DAY ONE, Gabrielle was able to realize her dream and become a gymnast and a 2012 United States Olympic Gold Medalist.
Ms. Hawkins is on point.

Studies prove that when parents are active in the many facets of their children's lives, they excel, soar and do well. And, Powerhouse Media Group wants to encourage and show the parents of the Hampton Roads area  just how to "be there" for their children through its "BE THERE!" parent symposium.

The parent symposium will be moderated by Feona Sharhran Huff, who is well known as a "Parent Motivator" and is the Founder & CEO of Powerhouse Media Group. There will be a spectacular panel of parenting experts and educators who will give you the "how to" and  motivation to be there for your children.

This is a FREE event and open to the community. It will take place at The Indian River Public Library
(2320 Old Greenbrier Road, Chesapeake, VA 23325). There will be vendors present to promote what they are doing to encourage parent involvement. If you're interested, please call or email Feona.

For more information and to register for the event, please contact Feona

Get Your Rest On!

I just woke up from a much-needed power nap. Now, I'm recharged and ready to make moves 'til the break of dawn. For all of you who grind hard like me for your children and community, it is imperative to take time to rest your mind and body at some point during the day. It's great and admirable to be dedicated to uplifting and empowering but a nap will refuel us to keep pressing forward. #RechargedAndReady

POWERHOUSE POINTER (Be Still for a Minute)

"We live in such a busy and noisy world. There is so much going on and so much to distract us. We can be pulled in so many directions if we don't push for peace and stillness. Just for a few minutes, let's remove ourselves from whatever we're doing, get quiet, take a deep breath and enjoy peace." ~ Feona Sharhran Huff, Founder & CEO of Powerhouse Media Group

Speak on, Feona!

I speak because God has given me a voice and a powerful message to share of hope, triumph, healing, self-love, empowerment and more. He prepares my heart, guides my words and orders my delivery to help others get what He has for them. I am
so honored to be such a vessel. Continue to pray for me as I go forward in speaking life into the lives of women, single moms and today's youth. ~ Feona Sharhran Huff, Founder & CEO of Powerhouse Media Group

POWERHOUSE POINTER (Keep Your Eyes on You!)

"Fix your eyes on what you are doing. You can't excel in your situation if you're always looking at what everyone else is up to. There is truly enough of you and your business to concentrate on." ~ Feona Sharhran Huff, Founder & CEO of Powerhouse Media Group
